It’s never too soon to plan for next summer! In fact, planning is well underway already. I’m quite in awe of the folk who manage to organise us all into conferences and events, and very grateful that they create spaces and opportunities for us to meet and learn from each other. That we can now do so virtually as well as in person opens up even more opportunities to connect with fellow weavers.
Next year I am looking forward to offering a virtual seminar on double huck at the ANWG conference, which has the very appropriate theme of Fiber Connections. And in the tangible world of face-to-face workshops, I will be taking all my double weave energy to the AGWSD summer school at Harper Adams University in Shropshire. I’m so pleased that we’ll have a whole week to master blocks and make double weave magic at the loom. If you’ve been wanting to learn double weave, then this will be a fantastic opportunity to do so in company with fellow textile enthusiasts.
Happy weaving,
Cally
